The | History Of Space | Exploration

3DAstronomer is a gold and silver waltz tribute to both space explorations past and future. This celestial program could never have been created without the courageous efforting of those who dared to ask what was in the great unknown. Space exploration  has profoundly changed the way we look, the way we gaze at the stars in the night sky, and it also changed our visual perception of planet Earth. Take into acccount the amazing and remarkable feats of space exploration within the past 60 years: In the 1950s, satellites indeed revolutionized weather forecasting when they began beaming home television images of cloud patterns. In the 1970s, astronaut photography showed and showcased the sapid space images of the earth for the first time in true, genuine, apollonian color- the so-called Blue Marble representation of our planet. Since circa 1972, satellite sensors have been relentlessly acquiring atmosphere, land, ice, and ocean data with increasing spectral, spatial, and temporal resolution.  These monumental and remarkable satellite remote sensing systems, like NASA's Earth Observing System (EOS) help us to clearly better understand and monitor Earth's physical, chemical, and biological processes. With 3DAstronomer, you will have the unique and singular chance to look upon the "third rock from the sun", better known as planet earth as if you were hovering above the atmosphere.  See for yourself the illuminating images that have helped us better understand our planet.
